Huskies beat St. Cloud

Hermantown's Kevin Folman pitched the Duluth Huskies to an 8-1 victory over the St. Cloud Rox on Wednesday before 1,036 at Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud.

Hermantown’s Kevin Folman pitched the Duluth Huskies to an 8-1 victory over the St. Cloud Rox on Wednesday before 1,036 at Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud.
Folman allowed one run on eight hits in 5 2/3 innings. He walked one and struck out one to improve to 1-2 on the season.
Catcher Holden Cammack had two hits, a run and three RBIs to lead the Huskies. Alex Greene and Matt McLaughlin added two hits apiece for Duluth (17-12), which moved a half-game behind Willmar (17-11) and Rochester (17-11) in the North Division standings. The final games of the first half are Tuesday.
Connor Crane had two hits and a run to lead St. Cloud (16-12).
Duluth returns home to play the first of two games against Alexandria starting at 6:35 p.m. today at Wade Stadium. The Huskies close out the first half with a six-day, seven-game homestand.
