Mariah Hovick made two free throws with seven seconds left in overtime to lift St. Scholastica to a 64-62 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference women's victory over Presentation on Saturday before 238 in Aberdeen, S.D.
Hovick had 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Saints, while Laura Amys had 10 points and 12 rebounds and Elena Huber had 10 points and six rebounds.
Hannah Phillips had 19 points to lead Presentation (4-20 overall, 3-12 UMAC), which turned the ball over and never got a shot off in the closing seconds.
Third-seeded St. Scholastica (12-13, 10-4) opens UMAC tournament play on Wednesday at second-seeded Minnesota-Morris (17-8, 12-2).
