The second half of the Northwoods League baseball season can't come soon enough for the Duluth Huskies.
The Rochester Honkers hit two home runs and limited the Huskies to two hits in a 6-0 victory Wednesday night before 687 in Rochester.
Outfielder Nathan Melendres and pinch hitter Doug Joyce had the lone hits for Duluth (13-19), which totaled just three hits in an 8-0 loss Tuesday at Alexandria.
Starting pitcher Andrew Gagnon allowed one hit and struck out seven in seven innings to raise his record to 3-1 and lower his ERA to 1.20 for the Honkers (18-13).
Corey Jones and Aaron Dunsmore each had two hits, including a home run, and drove in two runs. Danny Brock was 3-for-3 with two doubles, while Rance Roundy had two hits and his 15th double of the season.

The teams meet again at 7:05 today in Rochester to close out the first half of the season.
