The Minnesota Wilderness scored four times in the third period to put away a 6-0 win over the Chippewa Steel on Saturday in North American Hockey League play Saturday at Northwoods Credit Union Arena.

Sam Livecchi made 26 saves, including a second-period penalty shot, earning his first career Junior A shutout.

Cole Crusberg-Roseen and Matthew McQuade had first-period goals for Minnesota, but the game remained 2-0 into the third period, when Hermantown's Aaron Pionk restarted the scoring with his tally from Duluth East alum Charlie Erickson's assist 25 seconds into the frame.

The Wilderness (13-7-1-0) host the Minnesota Magicians on Wednesday night in Cloquet.
