Eight players scored as unbeaten St. Scholastica cruised to an 8-1 NCHA women’s hockey victory Friday night over Marian University in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
Courtney Bloemke, Mariah Haedrich of Hermantown and Emily Sabol each had a goal and assist and Ashlea Arvidson stopped 13 shots to lead the Saints (8-0 overall, 5-0 NCHA).
Mary Clark had the lone goal for Marian (2-6, 2-3) on the power play at 14:02 in the third period.
Ty Enns scored the game-winning goal at 11:45 in the third period to lift Marian to a 3-2 NCHA men’s victory over St. Scholastica at Mars Lakeview Arena.
After Brady Pupp’s unassisted goal at 16:51 in the second period gave Marian a 2-1 lead, the Saints came back to tie it on Brent Jones’ goal at 10:54 in the third.
The tie was short-lived, however, as Enns scored less than a minute later on assists by Parker Colley and Nathan Walker.
Colby Muise had 27 saves for Marian (6-5, 4-1) while Nick Trenciansky had 23 saves for St. Scholastica (4-6, 3-4).
