Taylor Thompson scored the game’s only goal and goalie Lexi Thomeczek stopped 40 shots as St. Scholastica blanked Wisconsin-Stevens Point 1-0 on Saturday at Mars Lakeview Arena in Duluth.

Thompson scored at 14:26 of the first period on an assist from Rachel Thompson. Thomeczek made double-digit saves in all three periods, including 17 stops in the second. The Saints managed just 16 shots on Stevens Point goalie Olivia Schultz. The Saints (5-6-1) a weekend series at Adrian on Friday and Saturday.

Augsburg 4, Wis.-Superior 1

Wisconsin-Superior’s six-game winning streak came to an end in a loss to Augsburg on Saturday in Minneapolis.

UWS’ lone goal came when Jenna Curtis set up Megan Dulong for a power play goal at 13:20 of the second period.

The Yellowjackets dropped to 8-2-1 overall. They play host to Bethell at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Wessman Arena.


Wis.-Superior 4, Con.-Moorhead 1

Conor McLean scored two goals and Pavel Mikhasenok and Artur Terchiyev also scored goals as the Yellowjackets defeated Concordia-Moorhead on Saturday at Wessman Arena in Superior.

UWS’ Chad Lopez had two assists and goalie Myles Hektor made 20 saves. The Yellowjackets improved to 12-2-1 and they travel to Gustavus for a 7 p.m. game Saturday in St. Peter.

Marian 6, St. Scholastica 2

Parker Colley had two goals and an assist and Gianni Vitali had a goal and two assists as Marian completed a sweep of St. Scholastica with a 6-2 win Saturday. Marian won 5-1 on Friday.

The Saints got a goal and an assist from Nate Pionk, Carson Rose scored a goal and Jordan Fralich had an assist. CSS (5-9-1) plays host to Aurora at 7 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Saturday in Duluth.
