Six players scored goals and goalie Ben Garrity made 31 saves as the Minot Minotauros skated past the Minnesota Wilderness 6-3 in a North American Hockey League game Friday night before 650 at Northwoods Arena in Cloquet.

Ville Immonen opened the scoring midway through the first period for Minot, then the Minotauros led 3-0 going into the first intermission after Jack Westlund and Dan Russell tacked on a pair more.

The Wilderness closed to within a goal on scores by Chikara Hanzawa and Aaron Myers to start the second before Kyler Kleven and Cole Hanson answered as Minot kept its three-goal cushion going into the third.

That was more than enough for Garrity, who stopped 15 shots in the third period alone.

Kaleb Johnson stopped 30 of the 35 shots he faced for the Wilderness.
