Hilary Knight and Kelly Pannek each scored two goals as the United States defeated Russia 8-0 on Saturday in the semifinals of the IIHF Women’s World Championship at Espoo, Finland.

Goaltender Alex Rigsby stopped all 11 shots as Team USA advanced to today’s championship game and a chance to win a fifth consecutive gold medal at worlds.

The Americans, surprisingly, will face the host country in the final. Finland upset Canada 4-2 in the other semifinal.

Minnesota Duluth juniors Maddie Rooney and Sydney Brodt are on the U.S. team.
