College women's hockey: Two Saints named All-Americans
St. Scholastica sophomore forward Rachel Anderson was named an NCAA Division III first-team All-American on Thursday by the American Hockey Coaches Association, one of six representatives on the West squad.
Saints junior goaltender Lexi Thomeczek was named to the West second team along with Wisconsin-River Falls sophomore forward Callie Hoff of Hermantown.
Anderson's 1.52 points-per-game average ranked fifth in nation and her 31 assists are second in Division III. She totaled 13 goals in 29 games.
Thomeczek's .949 save percentage is eighth in Division III and the four shutouts she had this year in 23 games are tied for fourth.
Hoff's 24 goals — three of which came shorthanded, six were game-winners — are sixth best in the country. She also had 10 assists in 28 games.
