Junior hockey: Dow helps Wilderness win third straight
Luke Dow's goal with less than four minutes remaining in the third period snapped a deadlock and lifted the Minnesota Wilderness to a 5-4 North American Hockey League win at Minot on Friday.
Dow's goal, set up by Isaac Kobienia's second assist of the night, helped the Wilderness win their third straight, all over Minot.
The Minotauros carried a 2-0 lead into the second period, which turned into a 3-2 deficit over the next 20 minutes. Then, 4:26 into the third, Dylan Johnson's second goal of the game made it 4-2 before Minot rallied. Johnson, the former Cloquet-Esko-Carlton standout, now has a team-high 17 goals.
Minnesota goaltender Ryan Fanti made 42 saves.
