Hockey: White, Guentzel sign with EHC Klostersee

Forwards Patrick White of Grand Rapids and Ryan Guentzel of Woodbury, Minn., have signed professional contracts with EHC Klostersee of Grafing, Germany for 2011-12.

Forwards Patrick White of Grand Rapids and Ryan Guentzel of Woodbury, Minn., have signed professional contracts with EHC Klostersee of Grafing, Germany for 2011-12.

White, a 2007 NHL Entry Draft first-round pick of Vancouver, played four seasons at Minnesota.

Guentzel, son of Minnesota assistant coach Mike Guentzel, played four years at Notre Dame. EHC Klostersee plays in the Oberliga league, the third level in Germany.
