Ryan Wildman scored two goals to lead the Fort Frances (Ontario) Lakers past the Duluth Clydesdales 6-2 in the Clydesdales' home opener Sunday night before 312 fans at Heritage Center.
Dillon Mershon and Chris West scored goals for the Clydesdales (1-3), who put 30 shots on goaltender Tyler Ampe. Matt Arnold made 26 saves for Duluth, which travels to Spooner, Wis., to take on the defending Superior International Junior Hockey League champion Wisconsin Wilderness.
