Jared Thomas had two goals and two assists to lead the host Hawks to their 27th consecutive victory and a spot in the Section 5A final.
Matt Mensinger and Zach Edgerton combined for a 10-save shutout, the fifth in the last sixth games for top-ranked Hermantown.
The Hawks advance to play either Rogers or St. Cloud Cathedral in Friday's championship.
