Gymnastics: Area gymnasts headed to regions

Nine Northland high school gymnasts qualified for region championships after strong showings at the Minnesota USA Gymnastics State Championships March 24-26 at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

Nine Northland high school gymnasts qualified for region championships after strong showings at the Minnesota USA Gymnastics State Championships March 24-26 at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

Level-eight gymnasts Anna Norman, a Lakeview Christian Academy senior, and Lex Hausman, a Hermantown sophomore, will compete at the Region IV USAG Championships this weekend in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Level-seven gymnasts Paige Dailey and Halee Ballavance, both of Hermantown, will head to Kenosha, Wis., from April 22-23 for the Region IV Championships. Joining them will be level-six gymnasts Amelia Allen (Cloquet), Grace Marshik (Duluth East), Martyn Dahl (Montessori Schools) and Callie Johnson (Duluth Marshall).
