Ian Guzzo shot an 11-over-par 191 through 45 holes to win the Agate City Classic this past weekend at Lakeview National Golf Course in Two Harbors.
Kasey Hendrickson was the leader after shooting a 1-over-par 73 on Saturday, with Guzzo four shots back at 77. The crowded leaderboard eventually thinned out on Sunday, and Guzzo found himself with a two-shot lead over Dave Isaacson going into the final nine, where golfers struggled with a strong wind and difficult pin placements. Guzzo, Hendrickson and Rick Amatuzio were the only players to card birdies on the final round.
Isaacson closed to within a shot with seven holes to play before Guzzo's lead ballooned to five over the next four holes. Isaacson wound up with a 197 for second, followed by Hendrickson (198) and Amatuzio (200).
