Led by senior Sam Frazee, North Woods finished fourth in the Minnesota Class A boys state golf championship at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker.

The Grizzlies finished with a two-day score of 675. Fertile-Beltrami won the Class A title at 629.

After shooting 9-over-par in the opening round Tuesday, Frazee bounced back by finishing 1-over on Wednesday and 154 for the tournament to take 12th. Fertile-Beltrami junior Rylin Petry won medalist honors by a single stroke at 146.

At Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids, Duluth East came in last in the Class AA boys meet at 670, finishing 86 strokes back of state champion Maple Grove. Sophomore Ben Mertz led the Greyhounds by shooting 151 to finish tied for 28th.

At Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan, Hermantown finished last in Class AA girls with an 808, 135 strokes back of state champion Lake City. The Hawks were led by Callie Showalter, who finished in a tie for 39th with a 185.
