Norma O'Leary of Silver Bay tied for third at U.S. Senior Women's Amateur Sectional Qualifying on Wednesday at Hillcrest Golf Club in St. Paul.
Leigh Klasse of Cumberland, Wis., won with a five-over-par 77, followed by Brenda Williams of Minnetrista, Minn., with an 80 and Lynn Anderson of Hopkins, Minn., and O'Leary with 81s.
Klasse and Williams qualified for the U.S. Senior Women's Amateur Championship Sept. 9-14 at Waverley Country Club in Portland, Ore., with Klasse qualifying for the eighth straight year. Anderson is the first alternate and O'Leary is the second alternate.
