Golf: Mother, daughter square off in Arrowhead final

Amy Schintz and her daughter, Maddy, will go head-to-head in the final of the 71st Annual Ladies Arrowhead Championship at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Ridgeview Country Club in Duluth.

Maddy Schintz is seeking her first Arrowhead title. A match-play tournament that features two nine-hole rounds Friday and an 18-hole championship Saturday, Maddy Schintz knocked off defending champion Arica Sheff in the semifinals.

In the other championship flight semifinal, Amy Schintz defeated Deb Showalter in a showdown of former Arrowhead champions.
