The Duluth Nighthawks girls lacrosse team finished fourth this past weekend in the Northcentral Schoolgirls Lacrosse Association state tournament at Mound Westonka. The Nighthawks defeated River Lakes 11-9 in the first round with Ingrid Curwin scoring three goals and Laura Larson, Clara Hatcher and Kayla Collins each adding a pair. Christa Eaton and Grace Knauss combined for 16 saves. The team lost to St. Paul 7-6 in the semifinal with Hatcher and Alisha Martin each scoring twice. Monticello beat the Nighthawks 18-11 in the final game despite five goals from Hatcher and two goals from Abby Holak. The Nighthawks finished the season 6-5.
