Silver Bay jumped to a 21-point halftime lead and cruised to a 27-0 victory over Cherry in a Nine-Man Section 7 semifinal Friday at Mountain Iron High School.

Luc Stadler ran for a touchdown and caught another for the third-seeded Mariners (5-2), who lost 42-0 to the Tigers during the regular season.

Unfortunately for Silver Bay, a matchup in the section final against top-seeded Mountain Iron-Buhl is not forthcoming since all high school sports were suspended due to an increase in positive COVID-19 tests statewide.

MIB (5-0) defeated Bigfork 34-12 in the other semifinal.
