Minnesota Duluth is ranked third in the first NCAA Division II Super Region 3 rankings, released Monday.
The Bulldogs (7-1) are coming off a 37-6 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference home victory over Northern State.
Colorado State-Pueblo (8-0) and Nebraska-Kearney (7-1) tops the poll.
Fellow NSIC schools St. Cloud State (No. 5) and Bemidji State (No. 10) are also ranked, with the top six teams in the final region poll making the NCAA playoff field.
* UMD moved up a spot to No. 6 in the latest American Football Coaches Association NCAA Division II poll with 578 points. Delta State (8-1), which lost to the Bulldogs in last year's national title game, tops the poll with 720 points and 25 first-place votes.

St. Cloud State (7-1), which hosts UMD at 1 p.m. Saturday, moved up three spots to No. 11 after a crushing 66-13 NSIC victory over Minnesota-Crookston.
