Sophomore quarterback Tyler Harper of Minneapolis threw three touchdown passes Saturday afternoon, two to junior wide receiver Cory Gebhard in the fourth quarter, as St. Scholastica defeated Martin Luther College 21-7 in an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference football game before 300 fans in New Ulm, Minn.

The game was tied 7-7 after three quarters before the Saints pulled away.

Harper completed 13 of 29 pass attempts for 183 yards. Gebhard had five catches for 109 yards, including a 73-yard TD reception with 11:38 left in the game.

St. Scholastica (3-1 overall, 3-0 UMAC) compiled 371 offensive yards and limited Martin Luther to 67, minus-32 on the ground. Quarterback Josh Rathje completed 7 of 21 passes for 99 yards for Martin Luther (1-3, 0-3).

Zack Dubanoski led the St. Scholastica defense with nine tackles and one sack, Blake Cedarleaf added seven tackles, including 3.5 for loss. Chas Lemon recorded a pair of sacks.

Next Saturday, the Saints are at MacMurray College (0-3) in Jacksonville, Ill.
