Calling all hawk lovers.

Hawk Ridge Nature Reserve is looking for volunteers to help get the place prepared for the upcoming hawk-migration season.

The reserve needs assistance with moving brush, spreading wood chips and putting gravel on trails, carrying heavy equipment, sweeping parking areas, weed whipping trails and setting up way-finding maps among other things.

Come out from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Families and community groups of all ages are welcome, but people younger than 18 need permission from a parent or guardian.

Meet at the Hawk Ridge main overlook at 47th Avenue East and Skyline, one mile east of the intersections of Glenwood Street and East Skyline Parkway. Volunteers will need sturdy shoes, gloves, weather-appropriate clothing and water. Tools will be provided.
