Elaine Nelson of Duluth was second in the women's 30-34 division in Saturday's USA Triathlon Age-Group Championships in Burlington, Vt.
Nelson, 33, finished in 2 hours, 11 minutes and 45 seconds for a 1.5-kilometer swim, 40K bike and 10K run. The former Minnesota High School Class AA cross country champion from Roseville Area was eighth overall in the women's field and had the second-fastest run time in 37:03. She was the women's winner of the Brewhouse Triathlon on Aug. 5 at Pike Lake.
