The Duluth Marshall boys soccer team on Tuesday did what few teams have been able to this season: slow down high-scoring Ashland.
Sort of.
Despite scoring well below their season average, the Oredockers still found a way to edge Marshall, 2-1, in a Lake Superior Conference game Tuesday evening in Ashland. Robert Quinlan scored both of Ashland's goals in a game that featured no second-half scoring.
John McKenna had the lone goal for the Hilltoppers (5-6).
The Oredockers (11-1) have won three in a row.
