Duluth's public golf courses are closing up for the winter, golf director Paul Schintz announced today. Lester Park Golf Course went into hibernation Sunday and Enger Park Golf Course closes Wednesday.

Schintz said both courses saw good attendance the past summer and this fall, making up for a delayed spring start due to record snowfall in April.

The clubhouses will be open before Christmas for gift buying, and gift certificates are available on the website . Schintz said winter clubhouse hours will be posted on the site.
