Jason Line of Wright, Minn., once again beat out teammate Greg Anderson of Duluth to capture his fifth Pro Stock win of the season in his eighth consecutive final round appearance, this time at the NHRA Kansas Nationals on Sunday at the Heartland Park Topeka dragstrip.
Line posted a 6.664 second pass at 207.85 miles per hour in his Chevy Camaro while Anderson came in at 6.687 seconds at 207.02 mph. The win was Line’s first in Topeka and 42nd of his career.
“It was the perfect weekend,” Line said. “It was an exciting weekend for me and we didn’t mess it up. It’s a big deal to me. It’s nice to win at someplace you’ve never done well. I really can’t stop smiling right now. There were times I had good cars here but didn’t drive well. This weekend everything came together.”
With the win, Line remains atop the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Pro Stock standings with 942 points. Anderson is second with 816.
