Top qualifier Greg Anderson of Duluth couldn't overcome home-track advantage on Sunday as he lost to Texan Erica Enders in the Pro Stock semifinals at the National Hot Rod Association SpringNationals in Baytown, Texas.
Anderson, who is second in the season point standings, won his first two rounds in his Chevrolet Camaro before losing to Enders, of nearby Houston. Anderson posted a faster speed, 212.23 mph to 209.95, but Enders' time of 6.561 seconds for the quarter-mile track was 11-thousandths faster than Anderson.
Matt Hartford beat Enders in the final for his first career Pro Stock victory.
Jason Line of Wright finished last after suffering engine trouble in his first-round race.
