Do it: Take a kid outdoors

One of the best things you could do this summer is take a young child outside. Anywhere. Along the beach at Park Point. Along Kingsbury Creek. Up to the Fenske Lake Campground north of Ely. Camping would be better, simply because of the darkness and the fire and the stars. But a simple walk in the neighborhood will do.
