Stream levels are quite low now. Head for the Gooseberry River at Gooseberry Falls State Park near Two Harbors. There, you can get far out in the river channel and see the potholes carved by the river when it's high and mighty. You also can check out the rock ledges usually hidden behind the falls when they're roaring. There's no fee to visit the falls. Park at the visitor center and take the short walk to the falls.
