Do it: Plan a late-season grouse hunt

Early on this fall, grouse hunters weren’t seeing many birds. Too many leaves. But as the season went on, grouse hunting reports improved. Hunters were seeing a fair number of birds and having decent luck. Once deer season winds down in Minnesota, it might be worth a Thanksgiving weekend walk in the snow to see if you can find a few birds.
