Want to preserve a set of grouse tailfeathers? Clip the tail at base of bird. Fan tail and pin feathers to cardboard. Salt any remaining meat on tail. Let dry for at least a couple of weeks, then press by placing books on top of tailfeathers. Cut a small piece of leather and hot-glue it over meaty portion of tail. Mount in shadow box frame.
