Russia led 4-3 entering the eighth end when the USA's troubles began and left with a lopsided 9-3 victory that puts the Russians in a playoff spot at the moment.

The U.S. team, with skip Miranda Solem of Cohasset and Monday's vice-skip Cory Christensen of Duluth, fell to 3-3.
