Duluthian Cory Christensen's rink remained undefeated Tuesday at the USA Curling National Championships at Scheels Arena in Fargo, N.D.
Christensen's women's team broke open a close battle to defeat Ann Podoll's Fargo rink, 8-4, and improve to 4-0 in round-robin play.
Cora Farrell's rink, with Duluth curlers Lexi Lanigan and Rebecca Miles, lost 7-5 to Kim Rhyme.
In men's action, Heath McCormick's team, which includes Duluth curlers Chris Plys and Korey Dropkin, secured a 5-4 win over Bemidji's Pete Fenson to move into a tie for first place at 5-1. It was the fourth straight win for the McCormick rink.
Round-robin action concludes today with the top four teams advancing to the Page playoffs.

• Andrew Stopera and the American men, including Duluth's Jonathan Harstad, are in a three-way tie for second place at 4-2 in round-robin play at the World Junior Championships. Stopera split Tuesday's action with a morning win over Sweden and an extra-end loss to Scotland.
