The United States women rallied to beat Sweden 5-3 on Sunday and remain unbeaten in the World Senior Championships at Ostersund, Sweden.

The Americans, who are skipped by Margie Smith of Shoreview, Minn., and include Silver Bay's Norma O'Leary, scored two points in the seventh end and another in the eighth and final end to beat former Olympic and world champion Anette Norberg.

The U.S., now 2-0, face Japan and Canada in today's round-robin matches.

• The U.S. overcame a 4-0 deficit to edge Italy 6-5 on Sunday at the World Mixed Doubles Championship in Ostersund, Sweden. The team, which consists of Minnesota Duluth student Korey Dropkin and Sarah Anderson of Minneapolis, scored three points in the fourth end and netted singles in each of the final two ends to improve to 2-0 heading into today's match against Slovenia.
