Minnesota Duluth senior Morgan Place won the women's six-kilometer race in 22 minutes, 22 seconds Saturday in the Pine Hill Invitational in Carlton. The UMD women were third among seven teams as St. Olaf College took the title.
Senior Bryan Lindquist of Esko placed fifth in the men's 8,000-meter race in 27:00 to help Winona State to the team championship.
Wisconsin-Superior junior Scott Behling was fourth in 26:59 and UMD freshman Eric Cyr was sixth in 27:14. UMD senior Nick Nygaard won the 10,000-meter race in 33:19.
