Wisconsin-Superior announced its 2017 Athletic Hall of Fame class Thursday.
The five-member class consists of former men's hockey goaltender Don Carlson (1981-1984), former men's hockey coach and athletic director Steve Nelson, women's hockey goalie Melissa Kunzelman (2006-2010), men's basketball all-time scoring leader Jake Smith and four-time track and field/cross country All-American Matt Kramer.
In addition, Arlynn "Andy" Anderson and the late Randy Jones will be honored with Mertz Mortorelli Coaching Achievement awards, while the late Dr. Orvin Clark will receive the Carl Vergamini Award for Contributions to Yellowjackets athletics and Steve Olson will receive the Lydia C. Thering Meritorious Service Award.
