Gavin Rasmussen, Zach Bannister and Chad Lopez each scored goals as the Wisconsin-Superior men's hockey team defeated Gustavus Adolphus 3-1 Saturday night in front of 177 fans at Superior's Wessman Arena.
Myles Hektor made 30 saves for the Yellowjackets (10-4-2 overall) and Grant Boldt followed suit with 30 of his own for the Gusties (3-8-2).

Cougars rally to down Yellowjackets
Jay Kwateh had 20 points, seven rebounds and three steals and Minnesota-Morris used a big second half to down Wisconsin-Superior in UMAC women’s basketball action before 76 fans at Mertz Mortorelli Gym in Superior.

Malory Anderson added 14 points, six rebounds and three steals and Haley Wollschlager had 10 points, seven assists and three steals for the Cougars (5-9 overall, 3-1 UMAC), who trailed 35-27 at halftime before outscoring UWS 40-23 the rest of the way.
Junior guard Kaelyn Christian scored a career-high 25 points to lead UWS (3-10, 2-2) while adding four rebounds, three steals and two assists before fouling out; she connected on 3 of 7 shots from 3-point range.
Mady Sanders added nine points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals for the Yellowjackets.
UWS continues UMAC play at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, against Northwestern at the Ericksen Center in St. Paul.
