SUPERIOR — For the first time since it began play in the league in 2015-16, the University of Wisconsin-Superior claimed the UMAC's Jerome Kruse All-Sport Trophy in 2021-22 after winning seven regular season conference championships this season.

UWS also won league titles in men's indoor track and field, men's and women's soccer, and men's cross country. Volleyball, men's and women's golf, women's indoor and outdoor track and field, and women's tennis all posted top-three finishes in the regular season in 2021-22.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
