DULUTH — St. Scholastica women's soccer netted its second consecutive draw and third of the season on Tuesday in a 0-0 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contest vs. Macalester at Saints Field.

The Scots entered the game in second place in the league and Scholastica in second to last, but the CSS defense held despite allowing 16 shots (seven on frame). CSS goalkeeper Gracie Meagher stopped them all for her third shutout of the season.

On the offensive end, the Saints got off nine shots, four of them on frame, but none of them past Macalester goalie Jocelyn Radke. CSS's Tenley Voth had five of them, including three of the four on target.

The Saints (1-7-3, 0-3-3 MIAC) hit the road on Saturday to play at Hamline.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
