Hattie Verstegen scored twice for UWEC.

SUPERIOR — Wisconsin-Superior couldn't get any of its 20 shots on goal over the goal line in a 4-0 non-conference women's hockey defeat to Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Sunday night at Wessman Arena.

Hattie Verstegen scored late in each of the first two periods to put the fifth-ranked Blugolds (21-2) in the lead, and the visitors added two more in the third to put it away.

Stephanie Martin made 20 saves for UWEC, while Molly Black stopped 27 shots for the Yellowjackets (7-12-1).

UWS finishes the regular season with a two-game home series vs. Northland starting on Friday.
