SUPERIOR — Wisconsin-Superior baseball claimed its sixth consecutive win and returned to the .500 mark with a 10-5 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference win over Northland on Tuesday, May 3 at NBC Spartan Sports Complex.
The Yellowjackets (15-15, 11-4 UMAC) have won 11 of their last 13 contests.
Playing as the visitors, UWS briefly fell behind 4-1 after an inning, but tied it in their next at-bat. The game remained tied until a four-run fifth inning which the Yellowjackets' Sam McNosky busted open with a bases-clearing double in the left-centerfield gap.
UWS added two more insurance runs, unearned, on an error in the eighth.
Nick Fredrikson led the UWS offense, going 3-for-6. McNosky and Christian Garcia had two hits apiece.

Ethan Coady earned the win in relief for UWS, allowing one run on two hits in 4 2/3 innings.
UWS begins the last weekend of UMAC play on Friday at Crown.
