Gabby Bland scored in the 51st minute and Sisley Ng posted a two-save shutout as Minnesota Duluth continued its fast start with a 1-0 NSIC victory over Northern State on Sunday at Malosky Stadium.
Bland scored her first goal of the season on assists by Destiny Schmitz and Erika Hjort in a game that the Bulldogs (6-1-1 overall, 3-1-1 NSIC) dominated with a 14-2 shots-on-goal advantage.
Justine Charles made 13 saves for the Wolves (3-4, 2-3).
• Lydia Bitter scored a first-half goal and Mary Falck tacked on a goal in the second half as Martin Luther College defeated Wisconsin-Superior 2-0 in UMAC action Saturday night at NBC Spartan Sports Complex.
Bailey Henderson made seven saves for the Yellowjackets (2-6 overall, 1-2 UMAC).
