College women's soccer: Saints picked to return to top of UMAC

After finishing second a year ago, St. Scholastica was picked to return to the top of the UMAC on Monday, garnering 58 points and four first-place votes.

After finishing second a year ago, St. Scholastica was picked to return to the top of the UMAC on Monday, garnering 58 points and four first-place votes.

The Saints won 12-straight UMAC regular season titles before taking second last year. On Monday they beat out Minnesota Morris (55 points, three first-place votes) and Northland College (54 points, two first-place votes) for the top spot in the UMAC coaches' poll. Northland won the regular season league title last year while Morris won the tournament title.

St. Scholastica returns All-UMAC selections Taylor Olson and Cali Marsaa of Duluth Denfeld, Hannah Zeis of Ashland, as well as former Duluth East standout Roni Rudolph in goal.
