The University of Mary scored twice in the first half and held off Minnesota Duluth 2-1 in NSIC action Sunday at Malosky Stadium.
The Bulldogs (7-4-1 overall, 4-4-1 NSIC) lost back-to-back matches for the first time all season. The Marauders (7-2-2, 5-2-2) extended their cushion on UMD to four points in the conference standings while snapping UMD's five-game unbeaten streak in the series.
Megan Lowery scored off a corner kick at 23:18, and Caylin Cathey rifled a low ball into the net on a penalty kick 15 minutes later for her fifth goal of the season.
UMD cut the lead in half at the 74:08 mark on junior forward Destiny Schmitz's goal.
Mary goalkeeper Hannah Smith made six saves, twice as many as UMD's Sisley Ng.
