Wisconsin-Superior finished off a home-and-home season-opening sweep of Augsburg College on Saturday, winning 8-2 at Wessman Arena following a 4-2 victory Friday in Minneapolis.
Seven Yellowjackets scored the eight goals with sophomore forward Hailey Adair netting two as well as two assists for a four-point day. Emily Heid, Haley Olmstead, Kelly Cockerill, Amanda Coey, Kiara De Kezel and Mikayla Goodin also scored for Superior. Gooding and Karen Larson each had two assists.
Sophomore goaltender Kim Kobar made 18 saves for the Yellowjackets, who play at Gustavus Adolphus on Tuesday in St. Peter, Minn.
