Minnesota Duluth scored three goals each in the second and third periods Saturday afternoon on the way to a 6-1 win over North Dakota in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association women's game at Amsoil Arena.
The No. 7-ranked Bulldogs broke No. 6 North Dakota's four game win streak in which the Fighting Sioux had outscored two nonleague opponents 31-4. UMD (4-3 overall, 1-2 WCHA) gained its first league win. North Dakota (5-4, 2-3) was shut out for the first time this season.
Senior goalie Jennifer Harss earned her 41st career win and junior center Katie Wilson scored three goals to take over the UMD goal-scoring lead with six.
Wilson and freshman Jenna McParland connected for goals 2:06 apart in the first four minutes of the second period for a 2-0 lead. McParland, with five goals this season, added an assist. Junior winger Pernilla Winberg added an unassisted short-handed goal at 9:04 of the second.
Senior center Haley Irwin pushed the margin to 4-0 at 2:04 of the third period.

North Dakota's Jocelyne Lamoureux broke Harss' shutout bid with a power-play goal midway through the third period.
Coming into the game, North Dakota ranked No. 4 offensively in Division I with 5.12 goals a game. UMD is averaging 4.33. The Bulldogs are 34-4 in the all-time series and 9-2 the last 11.
The teams play at 3:07 p.m. today at Amsoil Arena.
