Ally Tarr and Kari Schmitt scored third-period goals as Ohio State rallied past Minnesota Duluth to win 3-2 on Saturday night at Amsoil Arena and even the teams' Western Collegiate Hockey Association women's quarterfinal series at one game apiece.

UMD (14-14-6) and Ohio State (15-16-5) meet in a decisive Game 3 at 6:07 p.m. today at Amsoil. The winner advances to the WCHA Final Faceoff next weekend in Bemidji, Minn.

Zoe Hickel gave the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead midway through the second period with her 11th goal of the season, but the Buckeyes evened matters when Kendall Curtis scored on a power play at 12:05.

Jamie Kenyon, who scored the lone goal in UMD's 1-0 win Friday, notched her team-high 16th of the season 3:51 into the third period for a 2-1 lead. But Tarr and Schmitt responded with goals 2:04 apart -- Schmitt's coming with an extra attacker -- to keep the Buckeyes' season alive.

Ohio State goaltender Lisa Steffes made 32 saves, including 18 in the third period; Kayla Black stopped 13 shots for the Bulldogs.
