UMD UPDATE
The Bulldogs enter the final series of the regular season on a seven-game unbeaten streak (6-0-1), including six straight wins. Senior Jocelyne Larocque has reached 100 career points (17-83) as the highest-scoring defenseman in program history, and ranks No. 4 among defensemen in Division I this season. Senior G Kim Martin tied the program record for victories (65) last week at Ohio State and will start today. The third-place Bulldogs have a chance to place second in the WCHA.
ST. CLOUD STATE
The Huskies broke a 32-game winless streak (0-31-1) last weekend with a 2-0 home win over Minnesota State-Mankato. St. Cloud State, 0-14 on the road, tied UMD 2-2 on Dec. 3. The Huskies are averaging less than a goal a game offensively (0.87), while allowing 4.71. Freshman LW Molli Mott leads in scoring at 5-4-9 and freshman RW Julia Gilbert of Hermantown is next at 5-3-8. SENIOR G ASHLEY NIXON HAS MARKS OF .880 AND 4.73. THE HUSKIES HAVE SCORED MORE THAN TWO GOALS JUST ONCE.
