UMD UPDATE
UMD lost twice at No. 2 Minnesota last weekend and is in a four-way tie for second in the WCHA behind the Gophers. Freshman C Katie Wilson is tied for the Division I rookie scoring lead at 2-4-6. The Bulldogs are averaging just 2.33 goals per game and allowing 2.50, the first negative difference in program history.
FIGHTING SIOUX UPDATE
North Dakota opened the season with a 2-0 road win over defending Division I champion Wisconsin as redshirt freshman G Jorid Dagfinrud of Norway made 26 saves. Three players lead in scoring with a goal and an assist -- Sara Dagenais, Mary Loken and Ashley Furia. Sophomore G Stephanie Ney shut out UMD last season 4-0. North Dakota has just five goals in four games.
